The short version of how SnapAction works

You install the beta through TestFlight and sign in. SnapAction reads screenshots from Photos through PhotoKit — only when you scan, and only the screenshots you select. Each scanned image goes to a cloud pipeline that uses AI vision analysis to identify the main resource and, when a link is not visible on screen, web search to recover the canonical URL.

The result comes back as a typed card — article, repo, event, place, product, invoice, booking, contact, or note — synchronized through SnapAction's backend and stored in a local app database. Cards keep their metadata, tags, favorite and read state, and a reference to the original screenshot, and each card surfaces a next action: open the link, add the event to Calendar, get directions, or copy the invoice amount. Free accounts include 30 scans a month; SnapAction Membership raises the quota to 300.
