What is a screenshot AI?

A screenshot AI is software that understands what a screenshot shows, not just what it says. How the AI screenshot pipeline works

SnapAction reads selected screenshots from Photos through PhotoKit. Each one is sent to a Convex-backed agent that uses OpenRouter vision models to identify the one to three resources that matter in the image. When a screenshot shows a recognizable title, repo name, product, or place but no full link, Serper web search and URL verification recover the canonical destination. The result is stored locally on your iPhone with SwiftData: a typed card with the title, verified URL, tags, metadata, and a reference back to the original screenshot.
