Need the link behind a title with no visible URL? That is what SnapAction does.
The converter uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read the pixels of your screenshot and turn them back into selectable, copyable text. It runs Tesseract, a widely used open-source OCR engine, compiled to WebAssembly so the whole process happens inside your browser tab. There is no server, no account, and no image upload — which also means it works the same for iPhone screenshots, Android screenshots, and desktop captures from Mac or Windows.
Accuracy depends on the screenshot itself. Sharp text on a plain background — chat messages, articles, error messages, code, receipts — converts almost perfectly. Stylized fonts, low-resolution images, and text over busy photos lose accuracy. If a result looks wrong, try a larger or higher-contrast version of the same screenshot.
After recognition, the tool scans the extracted text for anything that looks like a URL and lists the matches as clickable links, so a screenshot of a webpage, tweet, or documentation page gives you back its visible destinations without retyping them.
Screenshot-to-text is the right tool when you need the words. But most screenshots are saved for the thing they show — an article, a GitHub repo, a product, an event, a booking — and the full URL usually is not visible in the image. OCR cannot give you a link that was never on screen.
